Big Sky Beekeepers

is a beekeeping club, established in Missoula, Montana in 2011. The club was created to serve as a resource to local beekeepers, to educate club members and the community about the science, art, and benefits of beekeeping, and to foster communication and co-operation between beekeepers and the community at large. We welcome area beekeepers and anyone interested in honeybees and beekeeping.

The annual business meeting of Big Sky Beekeepers was held at 6:00pm on Thursday, January 13 in the conference room at Westside Lanes. At this meeting we elected officers, reviewed the financial status of the club, established dues for 2022, and discussed some goals for the coming year. Please refer to the meeting minutes for a summary of the meeting.

If you intend to start beekeeping in 2022 or if you want to add or replace honeybee colonies, now is the time to order bees. There are many options for purchasing packaged bees or nucs. Here are some suppliers recommended by members of Big Sky Beekeepers: Bees for 2022
